Before founding Derivita, Devlin was co-founder of Instructure and co-creator of the Canvas LMS. He started Instructure while in graduate school at BYU and, in 2015, the company went public. Canvas remains the fastest growing LMS and is one of the world's Top 50 largest websites.
In 2017, after visiting hundreds of schools and seeing the problems teachers and students were encountering with their math homework software, Devlin started Derivita with the mission of making math education more accessible for all learners.
