Bringing Microbits into your virtual classroom with Microbit Classroom
It has been a challenge to shift to virtual activities this past year. For those of you who love coding in your classroom, and specifically programming robotics, there's a fun and easy virtual option for you! Microbit Classroom gives you a teacher/student platform where you can assign activities and students can interact with a virtual version of a Microbit, using either blockly or python. You can see their code and give them feedback in real-time. This can be great for totally online classrooms, and it can also be an amazing tool for teachers who have their students in-person! Come check out this amazing, fun, and FREE resource!

Canvas Home Page and Beyond - What I Wish I Knew my First Year Teaching
This school year has had its challenges with technology for any teacher but especially for a first year teacher. First year teachers are faced with trials navigating the ends and outs of the classroom on top of the technology curve of being online. Canvas should not be one of those daily challenges, instead it should be a strong foundation for any class. Starting with creating stress free Canvas with templates and graphic designs, teachers will learn how to organize Canvas files, assignments, quizzes, etc. Teachers will also dive into Canva to design digital content and create a path from the home page and beyond. Lastly, teachers will learn some new tips and tricks on how to use different graphic designs to organize a user friendly Canvas for teachers, students, and parents!

Writing Effective Selected Response Questions
Selected response items (multiple choice, true/false, fill-in-the-blank) are the default items in many educational applications because they are straightforward to present and score. A selected-response format is not necessarily a barrier to writing engaging questions that will prompt students to think deeply.
